Family Literacy Evening
When a whole school reads a book, there’s a lot to talk about.”
Families reading the same book at the same time--94!
People celebrating at the Family Literacy Evening—187.
Number of trivia winners—30
Most used “nonsense” word in January--Frindle
Laughter, tears, cuddles, and questions asked—MANY!
It has been an amazing month! What an amazing evening!
Congratulations to everyone! Thank you for your commitment to excellence and the importance of reading. By reading Frindle to your children and engaging them in discussions and fun literacy activities, you not only helped to strengthen your child’s reading skills, but you were also strengthening the relationship within your own family. Thank you for making the Literacy Evening a priority for your family by joining us for the celebrations. The evening was a success because of your active participation in the events. Thanks again to the SCC for their financial support, the Leader Post for the Raise a Reader grant, and to the staff for their hard work and dedication to the project.
Now if you have any suggestions for next year’s book, we would love to hear them!

A Catholic Pre-Kindergarten offers high quality early childhood education in a safe, caring, nurturing Christian environment.
This combination of excellent teaching, program, and school environment all contribute to the development of your child’s social, thinking, communication, and physical skills. The earlier your child receives support in developing these aspects in a play-centered Christian environment, the easier it will be for him or her to make the transition to Kindergarten and grades beyond. Research proves that children who receive developmentally appropriate opportunities and supports at an early age have a greater chance of succeeding at school. Pre-Kindergarten gives your child a valuable “head start” in preparing for school.
