The 2025-2026 school year calendar was developed by the representatives from Christ the Teacher Catholic School Division, Good Spirit School Division, Christ the Teacher Teachers' Association, and Good Spirit Teachers' Association. Following an online survey conducted in January and Ministerial confirmation that the calendar meets all legislated requirements, the Christ the Teacher Catholic School Board has approved the 2025-2026 school calendar.
2025-2026 Christ the Teacher Catholic Schools Calendar
Defined Requirements:
The Saskatchewan Education Act requires the following:
- A minimum of 950 hours of instructional time per year;
- Six weeks of summer vacation;
- Post Labour Day student start time, with an exception if Labour Day falls on September 5 or later;
- Christmas break that begins no later than December 23 and ends no sooner than January 2;
- A spring break with no more than 5 consecutive days excluding Good Friday.
- Ministry of Education Provincial Examinations are scheduled for January 26-29 & June 22-25.
Highlights include:
- September 2 class start date
- Fall Inservices & holidays: October 13 & 14; November 10 & 11, 2025
- Christmas Break from Monday, December 22 through Monday, January 5 inclusive.
- Semester turn-around January 30, 2026.
- February Break - February 16-20, 2026
- Easter Break - Friday, April 3 - Friday, April 10 inclusive.
- Spring Inservices & holidays - May 18 & 19
- Final day of classes - June 25, 2026.
